This week on Episode 199 of the Inner Monologue podcast is artist, Marlena Robbins. Marlena's artwork takes a critical view of social, political and cultural issues. Often referencing American Indian history, her work explores the varying relationships between Navajo culture and art. Having engaged subjects as diverse as the Navajo Long Walk, Navajo Kiinaalda Ceremony and Navajo way of life, my work reproduces familiar visuals, arranging them into new conceptually designed pieces. Marlena and I talk about the night that inspired her to walk the path of an artist, growing up in Window Rock and life as a single parent. To Learn more about Marlena Robbins Go to...
