This week on Inner Monologue podcast we have Pamela Argust, co-founder and Curriculum Coordinator of Mindful Youth Project, a local non-profit organization dedicated to educating youth with mindfulness, connection to nature and conscious awareness. We discuss the power of raising children who are conscious in the world and how our current educational systems don't provide a platform for children to truly play and learn about life. We speak about what brought her to the journey of being inspired to support children in this way and the profound effect this can have on her own family and community. She also shares the importance of self expression, giving yourself permission to explore and seeing that you matter by putting your mark in the world. Ultimately our creative expressions in life, in education and what we are involved in allows us to learn more about who we are as people and supports the youth of our world.

This week on Inner Monologue podcast we have Therapist, Jane Fendelman. She works with individuals, families and couples in counseling sessions. Through her work, she developed a technique to heal old childhood trauma and sexual assault.  We discuss the vulnerability of men sharing their emotions and men's body image issues. She shares the sexual assault experience she had as a child which led her into her own journey learning to cope with the difficulty of that occurrence.  We discuss the concept of being in denial of a traumatic experience and then  being authentic with ourselves in order to heal.  Her path of purpose evolved from leaving job positions that weren't the best fit for her interests and she opened up an after school program for latchkey children. She was inspired to open the school due to her own experiences of being deeply lonely after school and engaging in unhealthy habits.  Her own journey of healing and trauma fueled her life's mission of all of her dreams and service to help others in her field, being the figure for others to believe in them and ultimately offer healing support.
