This week's guest on Inner Monologue is an intuitive body worker and massage therapist, Dusti VanTilburg. Born and raised in Sedona, we begin our conversation about finding the courage to step into the unknown to offer more of ourselves to the world. She opens up about an experience with a home invader which indirectly set her on the path to becoming a healer. We also discuss the power of the healing modalities, Ashiatsu and Jin Shin Jyutsu, and the importance of recognizing the language of the body and the signs it sends you toward your own healing. William Zev is a Fine Artist from Scottsdale, Arizona. In his early years, the traditional high school model didn't fit for him, so his parents decided to enroll him into the New School for the Art. He began his art journey by sitting in his bedroom doodling in a notebook. He had aspirations for being a filmmaker or digital artist, but everything changed once he was introduced to oil painting. William's art now reflects his appreciation for the transcendence of the animal kingdom and other mysteries of the universe. Arts and Dreams is an organization offering creative workshops and classes to help others heal and empower themselves through the arts. The organization was inspired by the experience of her brother's suicide many years ago, where she used her own art practice to heal from the loss. She shares the power of having an outlet when handling difficult experiences or uncomfortable emotions. She also discusses the process of healing herself through creativity and affirmations within art. This has rippled out into her life and shifted everything for her for the better. She emphasizes the commitment she has to self love and changing herself and how much art played an important role in starting this path. Developing this organization has also taught her that community is its own form of healing. It exposes her to many through the arts and empowerment and invites her into a role of connection and growth.
