Frances discusses her journey through grief of losing her step son to suicide. She shares how she wouldn't trade the experience of knowing her step son for the removal of pain from her loss. We also speak about the growth that occurs in intimate relationship after a shared grieving experience of the loss of a child. She also discusses how the loss has shaped her personality to include more introspection, emotional self-awareness and healthy daily practices. Illustration by Sharon Stelluto. First time I listened. Not sure what I expected but sorry I didn't listen sooner. Believe it or not, I'm glad there won't be family around for TG. I'm getting a visit from an old friend. Her son is the same age as my son would have been. They were friends. My husband will be watching football, something he and our son did every chance they could.
